Bradley Joseph Pierce, age 23, of Powell, OH, passed away on March 23, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati. He was born September 18, 2000 in Delaware, OH.
During Bradley’s early years, his first passion was baseball. He enjoyed playing T-Ball, Little League, and later umpiring games. His natural music talent began with Bell Choir at church, cello and trumpet in school, and playing the drums in the family living room. He participated in Boy Scouts as well as Track and Field.
Bradley was a 2018 graduate of Olentangy Orange High School in Lewis Center, OH. He was a dedicated member of the Pioneer Marching Band throughout his four years. He became proficient at the French horn in concert band and the mellophone in marching band, where he traveled and played at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
He attended The Ohio State University before choosing to enlist in the Ohio Army National Guard. He was a 12-Bravo, Combat Engineer where he trained at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri from 2019 to 2020. He flourished in the Army National Guard and ultimately earned his Specialist ranking. He was a bright and intelligent leader who enjoyed teaching others his great passions within the field. He transferred to the University of Cincinnati after basic training to work towards graduating with a B.S. in Construction Management. He loved bartending on campus and grew a loyal following of regulars and coworkers. The University of Cincinnati and his Army National Guard Unit (811th Engineer Company) were his happy place.

A few remembrances:
Bradley was an amazing person, soldier, friend and little brother. There was a thing about him that no matter what he could always bring you into a good mood. I know I went through some tough times when we were still together at the 811th and his smile alone always brightened my day. He will truly be missed. Joseph
Bradley and I were inseparable at basic training. We were known as “Pierce squared”. He and I shared many great memories that I will never forget. Memories that I will tell to my kids someday. It’s true to say that without each other to rely on, basic would’ve been so much harder. I will always miss you, Bradley. My condolences to your family and friends who miss you very dearly. Xian Pierce
Pierce was my first connection I made when I got to the unit, he made such an amazing impact on my life, I feel so blessed that we crossed paths and got the opportunity to build a friendship that I will always cherish and hold close to my heart. Pierce has taken out the time to teach me so much he also showed me what a good leader looks like. Pierce has given me so many amazing memories that always seem to make me smile. I am incredibly heartbroken from your passing. Riley
He was an irreplaceable shining light to everyone around him and he will be greatly missed. It was an Honor, and we will see you in the next one Pierce. Rest Easy Hellhound. Joseph
Pierce was an amazing soldier and person. He was a good teacher to new soldiers to the unit and always knew how to make people laugh. He was truly a great guy and will be missed. May he be remembered and rest in peace. Andrew
