Christian always wanted to join the Army. When he turned 18, he enlisted and soon earned his Ranger tab and Airborne wings. He always did everything with 110%.
Christian Andrew Avila, born Sept. 17, 1999, and formerly of Brunswick, died May 19, 2022. He was an Army Ranger assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. His battalion memorial will be held on June 16, 2022, in Fort Lewis McChord, Washington.
The Avila family will have a celebration of life at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, Calif. (San Diego), from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday June 25, 2022.
Sgt. Avila is survived by his parents, Edward and Julie; sisters, Samantha and Brittany; brother, Edward Jr.; brother-in-law, Luke; nieces, Teagan and Blake; nephew, Maverick; and several other relatives and friends.

Part of his ashes have been traveling with his Ranger brothers and being spread all over the world on their adventures.
