Colton Roger Sik, a proud Veteran of the Us Army, passed away January 28th 2024. He was the son of Corey Sik and Tiffany Helmick. Colton Roger Sik was born April 3rd 1990 in Offutt, Nebraska.
Master Sergeant Colton Roger Sik enlisted in the United States Army in July of 2008 as an 11B Infantryman. His schools included One Station Unit Training at Fort Moore, Georgia, Basic Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, Senior Leader’s Course, Combatives Level 1, Unit Prevention Leader Course, Small Arms Master Marksman, Urban Breacher Course, Safety Officer/NCO Course, Cadre Training Course, Marksmanship Master Trainer Course, SF Assistance/Advisor Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Bradley Leader’s Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, and the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course.
Master Sergeant Sik deployed to Iraq in 2009 with B Co, 2/8 CAV, Afghanistan in 2012 with C Co, 2/12 IN, Afghanistan in 2018 with C Co, 2/12 SFAB, and Korea in 2021 with A Co, 4-6 IN.
Master Sergeant Sik’s awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with “C” device, Army Commendation Medal 4th award, Army Achievement Medal 3rd award, Meritorious Unit Commendation 3rd award, Army Good Conduct Medal with 4th award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with combat star 2nd award, Iraq Campaign Medal with combat star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal 4th award, NATO Medal 2nd award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and Expert Infantryman’s Badge.
Colton Roger Sik is survived by beloved spouse Ashley Sik, and daughter Brylynn Airianna Sik, and dog Penny Sik, Father Corey Sik, Mother Tiffany Helmick. Along Step Father- Doug Helmick Step mother- Robin Sik, Sisters- Brittany Colston Taylor, Courtney Colston and Autumn Lilly Sik. Brothers- Walker Sik, Trevor Sik, Bryson Sik, Payton Sik, and Billy Wayne Colston III. Father-in-law Chad Chauvin, Mother-in-law Sacha Chauvin, Brother-in-law- Stephen Chauvin, Devin Chauvin. Sister-in-law- Courtney Chauvin, Ashley Chauvin, Nephews- Bentley Chauvin, Matthew Chauvin, Benson Chauvin and Niece- Caroline Chauvin.
His loved ones will always remember his side smirk smile and endless pride and passion for the US Military.
Colton loved off roading in his jeep and favorite football team was the Alabama Crimson tide.
