A TIME TO BE BORN… 

Ian Jarrod Hall, 34, was born to mother, Rhonda Inez James-Hall and father, David Lee Hall on October 5, 1988, in San Diego, California. 

A TIME TO GATHER STONES…  

Ian was the child of two military parents who afforded him the opportunity to live in several different places throughout his childhood. He attended several different schools growing up in places such as Portsmouth, Virginia; Port Arthur, Texas; Pensacola, Florida; and Portland, Texas where he ultimately graduated high school from Gregory-Portland High School. He went on to attend Del Mar College and major in Kinesiology. Shortly, afterwards Ian enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Calvary Scout, Airborne Soldier, and Paratrooper Soldier alongside his wife Hadasa Isabel Brito-Hall. 

 A TIME TO JOIN THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE HIM… 

On January 1, 2023, Ian gained his wings and joined God’s Army of faithful servants. He was preceded in death by his precious first born baby girl, Nailah Milan Hall; both of his grandfather’s Robert Gilbert James and Stanley Edward Hall; his nephew Kendrik Jayceon Hall; his father-in-law, Timothy Lagunas Brito; grandmother-in-law, Ofelia Hernandez; great grandparents Moses and Ida Martin and Doris Tebo Davis; several uncles and aunts including Vincent and Ella Martin, Maurice Martin, Carl Martin, Raymond Davis, Cecilia Ann James, and Michael Davis. 

A TIME TO CHERISH HIS MEMORIES…  

Ian was surrounded by a vast number of friends and family that are left to cherish his memories. Those individuals included his wife of more than twelve years, Hadasa Isabel Brito-Hall; his precious boys Dorian Caesar Hall (five) and Bryson Ezekiel Hall (three); mother, Rhonda Inez James-Hall; father, David Lee Hall; stepmother, Sheila Webb-Hall; brother, Matthew Donovan Hall (Jessica); sister, Breyaunte’ Ceera Smith; grandmothers, Barbara Nico and Olivia Hall; grandfather, Johnny Nico; niece, Nevaeha Zeni Hall; nephew, Azariah Brito and Tristan Skye Holman; included also is a vast number of uncles, aunts, and cousins left to cherish his memories; his brothers in arms include Ben Castilleja, Juan Pulido, Jesse Perez, Josh Robinson, Ryan Facklam, and Kendrick Ray. Ian was blessed to have an amazing extended family through his wife including his mother-in-law, Ophelia Hernandez (Leroy); brothers-in-law Timothy (Hillary), Victor (Anjelika), Omar, Diego; and a sister-in-law, Katherine.  

FALLEN SOLDIER  

SFC Hall enlisted in the United States Army in November 2009 as a 19D, Cavalry Scout and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. SFC Hall was stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas; Camp Ederle, Italy; and Fort Carson, Colorado. While assigned to Fort Carson, SFC Hall was assigned to 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team “Raider Brigade” where he was a member of Comanche Troop, 2nd Squadron, 1st U. S. Cavalry Regiment. SFC Hall deployed once to Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM from May 2018 until January 2019.
