Ivan Alexander Sandoval, age 22, of San Diego, California passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Ivan was born August 18, 1997 in San Diego, California. Ivan is survived by father Ismael Sandoval, mother Nora Sandoval and brother Ismael Sandoval Jr.
Ivan was born and raised in San Diego. From the minute he was born, I knew he was special. As a child, Ivan was the epitome of a perfect child, almost too great! Ivan over excelled in school so much that he had perfect attendance from K-6, not missing a day of school. Ivan played soccer as a young kid and was quite good at it. Ivan grew up in a family heavily involved in sports. In high school, he played on the water polo team and won most valuable player. He’d often joke and say, “Thank you for giving birth to this genius!” Ivan enjoyed watching football with his older brother and Dad. His team was the Chargers. One of his other passions was food, he loved food! California burritos, chicken wings, hot Cheetos, and spicy hot sauce were amongst his favorite.
Ivan was quiet, well mannered, very bright, and had this beautiful smile. He loved his family dearly and he is greatly missed.
Some memories shared:
Ivan was a naturally kind, sweet, & humble soul. When Ivan was growing up, I noticed he liked to study thingsl he was very intelligent. He also had a way of making you feel special, and that shows his HUGE heart. I’m going to miss his smile, and our small talks when we saw each other. A really special guy, I am proud to be his cousin. Love you a lot Ivan, we miss you.
People like you are remembered forever because you treated everybody the same, full of LOVE. I will carry you on forever cousin, rest easy. I love you man.
