In Memory of LCpl Jacob D. Crewson, USMC
December 6, 1996 – March 28, 2022
Jakie was the most loving caring person. He would do anything for anyone. When he loved, he LOVED big. He was very protective of me (mom) and his baby sister Ali. His big brother was his best friend, and Jake purely looked up to his brother Zachary. Jake has 2 nieces that he cherished and they just loved their Uncle Jake
Jake loved his dad, Bob. They would golf together regularly on a league and then weekend scrambles
Jake graduated from Sebring High School in Sebring, Ohio. Jake was very gifted with his hands (he was 4 and actually helped square a wood frame). He was also gifted mechanically. It just came naturally.
He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Indians. He loved dogs. He left 2 behind. Sadie and Jethro
My mom (his grandma) has 9 grandchildren and she has said for years Jake was her kindest, most loving, and most forgiving grandchild of 9. He is deeply missed by all of us.
600 people showed up to his Celebration of Life / Memorial Service. What a tribute to how many lives he touched and all of them had a “Jake story.” Shared by his mother, Jennifer
Jacob served in the United States Marine Corp from 2015 to 2019, stationed at Camp Lejeune. Jacob was a 2015 graduate of the MCCTC and Sebring High School. After serving in the Marine Corp, he went on to graduate from TDDS Technical School in Diesel Mechanics.
He loved playing baseball in the Sebring West Branch Hot Stove League from the time he was 6 all through Varsity baseball for Sebring High School.
Jacob was a member and served on the board of the American Legion Post 76, participating in the laying of the wreaths for Veterans as well as the Friday night fish fries. He was an avid golfer and member of the Berlin Lake Golf Club.
Jake had a gregarious, quick-witted personality and never met someone that he would not strike up a conversation with. Jake loved his family and was always the protector, especially for his little sister Ali. Although he is no longer with us, he will always be in our hearts and minds.
Though born in Indianapolis, IN, he called Ohio home.
