James Egerdahl

James Lewis Waldnor Egerdahl, known as “Jimmy” to his family, was born December 22, 1982 in San Diego, CA at Balboa Naval Hospital. James graduated high school from Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego. He participated in the drama class, his favorite thing to do in high school.
James entered the U.S. Marines after graduation. James had gone to see the recruiter without telling his parents. One day the recruiter showed up to sign papers when James turned 18. James toured in Iraq during the war. Following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and uncles, he took pride in serving his country. Being a Marine was his proudest accomplishment.
James became a father in 2004 to Jurney Lewis Egerdahl, his pride and joy and true love of his life. He was a natural at being a dad.
James loved playing video games, watching movies, eating seafood and sushi, as well as being outdoors.
James had a boisterous laugh, especially when watching cartoons. The Simpson’s and South Park were his favorites. Being a kid at heart, James fit right in with his four nephews and one niece. They all called him Uncle Jay. He loved his role as an uncle.
He was a hard worker and proud when he received his Electrician’s License and secured a job in Lacey, WA.
He was a kind and gentle soul, who was a great son, brother, grandson and uncle. He is survived by his son, his parents, grandparents, and two sisters.
