In Memory of MSgt Jerred Lee Shorthill, USAF
September 29, 1979 – April 9, 2012
SHORTHILL, Jerred Lee left us suddenly on Monday, April 9, 2012. He was given to us on September 29, 1979 by William and Anita Shorthill. He grew up in Boise, ID and moved to Spokane WA at age 15. He graduated from John R. Rogers High School in ’97 and immediately joined the Air Force thereafter. During his career, Jerred received his B.S. in applied management and excelled in all his classes. The military took him to places such as Ellsworth AFB SD, Qatar and Japan before he settled in Sedalia, Missouri.
Jerred was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for fishing and hunting. Not even a brand new Dodge was safe from the back roads to satisfy his passion. The only ones he loved more than the outdoors were his two beautiful children, Hunter and Zoe. Everyone who met Jerred knew him to be hardworking and entertaining to be around. Jerred’s smile and contagious sense of humor are sure to be missed by all.
Jerred is survived by his son Hunter Shorthill (age 9); daughter Zoe Shorthill (age 5); father William R. Shorthill, mother Anita F. Shorthill; sister Brandy and her husband Jesse Johnson, sister Marisa and her husband James McCarter; and two nieces and one nephew Madison, Harley and Molly. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14 at 1pm in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
