In Memory of HM3 John Barrington, USN
February 17, 1982 – September 13, 2021
John was a US Navy veteran who served in the initial invasion of Iraq followed by Fallujah. He was a Marine Corps doc (corpsman) who suffered from PTSD and TBI that was 100% service connected.
John was the best husband and an even better father. He was so good at everything he did. He was a 4-time local elected official in our state, which he was so proud of. He was proudest of the title “Dad” (Husband and Doc were close seconds).

HAWTHORN WOODS – Visitation for John M. Barrington, 39, will be held from 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm at The Chapel, 330 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, with a service at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.
He was a beloved leader in his community, veteran, husband, and father. John is the loving husband of Bonnie; father of Tommy, Nick, Emma, Anna, Olivia and the late Lea; son of the late Karen Barrington; brother of Lisa and Carl; uncle of many nieces and nephews; nephew of Penny and was raised by his uncle, Rockie and the late aunt, Fran.
States he called home were Florida and Illinois, and his resting place is Illinois.
