In Memory of SGT Jon Michael Luevano, USMC
December 30, 1994 – October 31, 2022
Jon Michael Luevano left to go to heaven on October 31, 2022. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 30, 1994.
Jon enlisted in the United States Marine in April of 2015. He attended recruit training at MCRD San Diego where he earned his title of United States Marine. While in the Marine Corps, Jon served with Quebec Battery, 5th Battalion, 11th Marines, and Alpha Company 2nd Transportation Battalion. He deployed to many countries to include Okinawa, Japan, Korea, and Norway. Jon achieved the rank of Sergeant, his Marines referred to him as “Poster Marine” and was very well respected by his peers and subordinates. Jon never failed to mention that he was a “Texas Boy” and how much his family meant to him. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. He loved cooking out and listening to all genres of music. Jon’s endless smile and sense of humor left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Jon will be missed by his son, Kingston Gray, mother, Veronica Sanchez, father, Jose Luevano, sister, Heather Lopez, brothers: Devon, James, and Matthew Luevano and all his family and friends.
Ronald Reagan once said “Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But the Marines don’t have that problem.” Sergeant Jon Michael Luevano, we all felt the difference you have made. The Marine Corps never dies, which means Sergeant Jon Michael Luevano always lives.
