Joshua Dickison

In Memory of Cpl Joshua A. Dickison, USMC

August 14, 1984 – April 19, 2022

Josh served in the USMC from 2003-2007, serving a 9-month tour in Iraq. While the Marine Corps always held a special place in his heart, his pride and joy were his wife and 3 kids. He loved taking vacations to Florida with his family, fishing, and tinkering with things in his garage. Josh lost his battle with PTSD on April 19, 2022 leaving behind his wife and 3 kids to carry on his legacy. 

 Joshua A. “Josh” Dickison, age 37, of Howard, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Morrow County Hospital in Mount Gilead.

He was born on August 14, 1984, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Mark and Teresa (Rose) Dickison. Josh was a graduate of Northmor High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 2003, where he fought in the Iraq War, and was discharged in 2007. He was a former boat mechanic at Pier 36 and was the owner of Semper Fidelis Upholstery. Josh was a member of the Centerburg Community Conservation Club and the Patriot Gaming Community. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his garage. But most of all he loved the time he spent with his family by taking his girls to Horseback Riding and to 4H or playing Nerf guns and Legos with his son.

He is survived by his wife, of over 13 years, Brennon (Smith) Dickison; his son Braiden Dickison; his daughters, Alexa and Kiley Dickison; father and mother Mark (Teresa) Dickison; his brothers, Jeremy (Ruthie) Dickison, Matt Dickison, Shawn Dickison; his sisters, Cheryl Dickison, Mellissa (Josh) Dickman; his brother-in-law Britain Smith; his sister-in-law Bree (Jesse) Perkins; his mother-in-law Gwen Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Josh was born and raised in Ohio.

His final resting place is East View cemetery in Centerburg, Ohio.
