Karl grew up in Pittsburgh PA. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was a gifted musician who wrote and played the guitar. For sports, he liked the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey team. On his days off he would often go fishing; he liked the outdoors.

Final resting place: Cemetery of the Allegheny’s near Pittsburgh, PA
In December 2017, Karl’s mother, Erin, will run the Rehoboth Beach Marathon in Karl’s honor and memory. Update: She has since run the AAM Marathon, the Pittsburgh Marathon and the USAF Half in memory of her son.
