Malik was raised in Lansing, MI. He loved to wrestle and play football. He was the youngest of four brothers and one sister. He looked forward to making the Air Force a lifelong career with his wife. Malik was always the jokester, he made everyone laugh and was also the one that everyone looked to for support to keep going. Many in bootcamp with Malik came up and told me they never would’ve made it through boot camp without his support.
Malik was stationed in Tampa where he was a jet fueler. He had actually pumped 1.3 million gallons in the short time he was there and recognized as the fueler of the month. As a result, he was able to visit Air Force One and meet President Trump.
