Michael “Ralph” David Fearnow, 47, of Kokomo passed away at 11:01 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Kokomo. He was born on November 27, 1967 in Tipton County to Ernest H. Jr. and Linda S. (Sharp) Teter. On July 27, 2012 Michael married Kathy M. Shanko who survives.
Michael was a 1986 Tipton High School graduate and worked at Community Howard Speciality Hospital since 2008. He was a member of the Tipton American Legion Post # 46 and Moose Lodge # 1590. He served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1990 to 1997 during Operation Desert Storm.
Survivors include wife Katherine M. Fearnow of Kokomo; father Ernest (Tamara) Fearnow of Russiaville; mother Linda Teter of Tipton; daughters Kayla M. (Lance) Long of Sharpsville, Willow R. Fearnow of Kokomo; sons Grayson M. Fearnow of Kokomo, Ethan J. Fearnow of Kokomo; sisters Melinda R. (Johnny) Faulkner Jr. Of Michigantown, Carrie Burkett of Tipton, Jessica N. Fearnow of Sacramento, CA; brother Christopher L. Fearnow of Bodega, CA; step brother Adam R. (Emily ) Yeary of Michigantown; step daughter Leah Nicole Turlington of Delphi; step son Bradley E. Leonard of Flora; grandchildren Morgan S. Long, Kayden Gutierrez, Brylee Turlington; and several nieces and nephews and cousins surviving.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Stout & Son Funeral Home at 200 E. Main St. Russaiville. Followed by a graveside service at Kempton Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Online condolences may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
