In Memory of SSG Michael Landes, US Army
January 7, 1986 – September 18, 2024
82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg
Remembrances shared by his brother, Christopher: “Michael served three combat tours during the War on Terror, in Iraq and in Afghanistan. He was a big Philly sports fan, but when we were teenagers, he was living in Baltimore and he was also a big Ravens fan. He loved video games, loved sports, he loved music and had a very eclectic taste.
Michael loved all the guys he served with. One of the guys and one of the few people he kept in touch with at the end flew up from Texas to speak at Michael’s funeral. He said he would have followed him to the gates of hell. He trusted him fully and loved him very much. There were a lot of guys he served with in the 82nd that came in from all over the country to be there for his funeral service.”
