In memory of Sergio (Trey) Carlos Muniz III

Army National Guard – Florida

March 16, 2001 – September 27, 2023

Our beloved son, Sergio Carlos Muñiz, III (Trey), 22, was received by our Lord in His heavenly place and loving arms on September 27, 2023.  He will be greatly missed by his mother, Tiffany Boyd; father, Sergio Muñiz, Jr.;and sister, Alexandria Boyd Muñiz; as well as his grandmother, Maria Muñiz; grandfather, Sergio Muñiz; aunts, Jordyn Boyd Wright and Aglaen Muñiz; uncle, Jason Kirk; and all his cousins, Jason Kirk, Jr., Jacob Kirk, Alexander Kirk, Nathan Kirk, Emmi Wright, Hadley Wright, Beckett Wright, Christopher Carter, Jr., Kyla Carter, and Morgan Moore.  He will be also greatly missed by his “twin brothers”, Connor and Dylan Brozny, whom all grew up together as brothers since their toddler years, through high school, and remained very close to this day.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Connie “Kissy” Boyd; his caring grandfather, William Gage Boyd, Jr.; and uncle, Chris Carter.  Sergio was also very fortunate to have met two of his great grandmothers, Pauline Edmison and Esperanza Reta Vazquez, whom also preceded him in death.

Sergio was known to his mom and dad, and grandparents as SergiCarlos, and many people knew him by Trey and Sergio as well.  SergiCarlos, was born in Enid, Oklahoma and then moved to Melbourne, Florida at the age of one.  He loved Florida, and graduated from Viera High School in Melbourne in 2019.  He then joined the Florida Army National Guard, and was assigned to Charlie Battery, C BTRY 2-116TH FA, in Ocala, Florida.  His commanding officer said he was a great soldier, leader, and an amazing person!  Sergio moved to Destin, Florida in 2021.

Sergio had a very warm, loving, and infectious smile!  Every picture shows him with a bright, beautiful smile with his beautiful dimples.  Sergio is very handsome and a true gentleman, always protecting and looking out for others, especially his sister, Alexandria.  He was very fortunate to have Alexandria, since they are only a few years apart and grew up together very closely.  They both learned a lot from each other.  He lit up the room every time he walked in.  Sergio had an incredible sense of humor, and made everyone laugh!  He always dreamed of being a pilot, of becoming a special operations member, and even took the next step by attending a special operations mini-boot camp over the summer.

He was a very big car fanatic, and attended many car events, enjoyed his Hot Wheels from the time he was one years old, and was always a big Lego fan!  Sergio also enjoyed reading military history books.

Sergio was very independent, motivated, and enjoyed fishing and riding his bike as a child.  He loved his time with all his family in the Army National Guard, serving to protect others in various assignments such as multiple hurricane relief missions, and deploying as a prison guard and even to Texas!  He also enjoyed his job and family at the Destin Airport, always sharing photographs of all the exciting aircraft he saw with his friends and family! He had big dreams of traveling around the world!

Sergio always lived life to its fullest, in the fast lane!  Owning a Ford Mustang and a sporty coupe as well!  He was always looking to advance his future and career in the Army and in his civilian life, and was a very kind and caring person to all his family and friends.

He will be tremendously missed by all his family and friends, but remembering and keeping his memories alive will relieve some of the pain we all feel.

Let us remember SergiCarlos now and forever with all the incredible memories we have made with him over his short, but amazing life!

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, https://afsp.org in memory of Sergio.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU, SERGICARLOS! WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH! WE SHALL ALL BE REUNITED WITH YOU ONE DAY!
