In Memory of SrA Taegre Alan Denbow, USAF
February 12, 2001 – January 31, 2025
Active Duty: Whiteman Air Force Base
Warrensburg – Taegre Alan Denbow, 23, of Warrensbug, MO passed away Friday, January 31, 2025. He was born in Bangor, Maine.
Taegre served in the United States Air Force where he was a jet engine mechanic at Whiteman AFB. He loved being in the Air Force and being with his fellow Airmen. He attended Union Street Brick Church and Nahunta First Baptist Church. Teagre was loved by all who met him and was described as a unicorn because he was so unique and could do anything he put his mind to. He loved playing music, recording and editing audio/video, building computers, skateboarding, and fishing.
Shared by his mother, Shannon: “Rest In Peace my beautiful son, Taegre Alan Denbow. Taegre was a jet engine mechanic stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. Taegre struggled with depression and died by suicide… tragically, he hung himself. Taegre was an organ donor. Lee’s Summit Medical Center did an Honor Walk for him on his way to be transported to the operating room. Taegre is, always has been, and will forever be a Hero to me and so, so many people. He was a leader and trainer to so many in the Air Force. Sending up so many prayers for all the broken hearts out there!
“Good morning, Shannon. I received an update that they have found potential recipients for Taegre’s heart, liver, pancreas, and kidneys. Recipient information can change but as of right now, here is what I know about the intended recipients: Heart will go to a 19 year old Female. Liver will go to a 59 year old Female. “Shannon, the tissue recovery was completed this afternoon. Taegre was able to help others through cornea, blood vessels, bone, and skin donation. Taegre is going to help so many people. It is a beautiful thing that he did, signing up to be a donor.” “I received an update about recipients for his kidneys also. His right kidney saved the life of a 48 year old Male and his left kidney went to a 36 year old Male. His pancreas anatomy ended up not being a good match for the intended recipient. His pancreas was recovered for the medical research program we discussed that is studying islet cells for a diabetes cure.”
Taegre Alan Denbow’s Celebration of Life was held Saturday, February 8th in Nahunta, Georgia at Nahunta First Baptist Church.
Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers. We love you, Taegre. Thank you for your service. May you rest in peace. ❤️🥀
