CPL Timothy Lamar Sneden USMC
June 27, 1997 – June 29, 2023
Timothy Lamar Sneden was born on June 27, 1997 in Columbus, GA. He left us on June 29, 2023. He lived with his mother growing up, living in Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. Timmy, known to some as Tim, was a bright spirit. He always put others first. He had the biggest heart you would have ever met and the most perfect smile you’d ever seen. He loved animals, especially cats. He was a family man, keeping the ones he loved as close as he could.
Timmy joined the Marine Corps shortly after he graduated from Troup County High School. He attended basic training in Camp Lejeune and was deployed to Romania shortly after. Once he came home, he chose to stay in the North Carolina area. He made a ton of friends and was always the life of the party. You could always find him singing, dancing, or just being downright silly. He loved video games, especially Pokémon. His favorites were Espeon and Jigglypuff. He loved to draw and doodle. He will forever hold a significant part in the heart of so many. He is survived and missed by his mother, Kristel Haynes; his siblings, Maria Martin and Faith Baker, his surviving grandmother, Juanita Martin; and his partner, Robert Caro.
“Tim was kind, loving and talented. He had a smile that would light up any room. Tim was a quick learner. Never had to study. He graduated in 2016, had scholarships set in ART. He was a great artist. Raised by a single Mom, seeing me work hard and struggle. He decided he would join the military. His reasoning was he wanted to be the best and never wanted to struggle.” Shared by his mother, Kristel.
