Charles Whitetree

Lee was Georgia born and raised – his hometown was Palmetto, GA. He was a die hard BAMA FAN!
His passion and joy was duck hunting. For his ‘resting place’ his ashes were spread in the Sabine Marsh, near Hackberry, LA, his favorite duck hunting spot. Lee was active duty when he died as a result of his struggle with post traumatic stress.
Remembrances from others:
“To the family of SFC Whitetree…I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was a great man, and I am grateful for having gotten to know him through the Army. He will be sorely missed, by a great multitude of Soldiers. RIP brother, All the Way, Geronimo!!!”

“One of the finest Platoon Sergeants I ever had. You will be missed. See you on the DZ in the sky “Tree”. Geronimo, All the Way”

“You will be missed my brother. I’ll see you on the dropzone!”

Lee’s twin brother, MSG Patrick Whitetree, carries his brother as well as other fallen “22 Too Many” on his 22 mile (or more) rucks, to bring honor and remembrance.
