How It Works

Honoring our 22 Too Many Heroes

How To Honor A Hero With Us

  • Check out the Our Heroes gallery on our website. Profiles are also on Facebook in the photo albums, sorted by branch.
  • Select a hero. Have a special request? A hero from a specific state? An anniversary date close to your race date? Contact us and we can help you select someone specific.
  • Download and print their picture; read their story.
  • Insert the picture in a page protector (trimming off the edge and taping the opening) or laminate it.
  • Pin the picture on your shirt or your pack or wear it on a lanyard.
  • Run, walk, ride, hike, ruck, bike or whatever you can do to ‘carry’ your hero.
  • Take a picture of you wearing or holding your hero’s picture, and share that picture with us by emailing keri.22toomany@gmail.com or sending a personal message to our 22 Too Many Facebook page with pictures attached.
  • We will share the pictures on social media and tag their family. Running with a group of friends? Take a group picture too.
  • If you are running a race that gives finisher medals, please ask for an extra to send to the family.

Organize An Event With Us

If you would like to organize your own event on a larger scale, we can provide laminated pictures, information cards, wristbands, and other items. We are here to answer your questions, brainstorm ideas, and help provide support. We can provide our tax-exempt documentation and proof of liability insurance, if needed. Contact us here.

Honoring A Hero Not In Our Gallery

If you have lost a loved one to military suicide or PTSD related causes and do not see them in on our website or Facebook page, we can email the form to obtain information so that we can honor your hero. Contact us here.
